We all know the song from the very first note. You either love the song or hate it. You either know your musical chops and call it a Paul McCartney tune or you call it a Wings tune. Through song promotion, it can be easy to think the latter, but it is actually the former. The song, released in 1979 was completed recorded by McCartney himself. Yeah, he performed all of the instruments on the recording. It was recorded during his sessions for the McCartney II album, but was released as a single. The song was added to the reissue of the album in 2011.
The music video included the members of Wings, filmed at the Fountain Inn in West Sussex.
The single never had super success as did any Beatles tracks, but did rank on both UK and US charts. Between royalties from airplay between his version and multiple cover versions, McCartney makes $400,000 a year from the song, which since its release has drawn in close to $15 million.
