25 days of christmas songs

What would Christmas songs sound like if the Beatles did them?

The Beatles never released Christmas albums. Interesting thought, right? What was released by the Beatles were a series of spoken word and musical message records – called Christmas Records – that were sent out to fan club members from 1963-1969. A compilation of each year was released in 1970.

The records were a response from the lack of being able to answer fan letters in a timely manner because of the large volume received. The Liverpool foursome recorded messages of thanks, sang songs, and made up original songs and skits each year.

The Beatles did record a Christmas song, “Christmas Time (Is Here Again)”. It appeared on the 1967 fan club Christmas record and was later released to the public on the 1995 Beatles Anthology.

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!

The Fab Four, California-based Beatles tribute band, pays and plays homage to the band pretty damn well. Formed in 1997, the act has since toured the world bringing back the memories of the Beatles.

In 2008, the Fab Four released a remastered album of their previous 2002 Christmas releases A Fab Four Christmas  and Have Yourself a FABulous Christmas into one called HARK! Every track is a classic Christmas song stylized in Beatles fashion.
