25 days of christmas songs

The most materialistic wishlist ever

This ain’t your typical Amazon Wishlist, baby. Unless, you are expecting sables and Tiffany rings to come straight to your door. “Santa Baby” is a song written by Joan Javits and Philip Springer in 1953. It is meant to be a tongue-in-cheek song about a woman addressing her list to Santa, with the hopes of receiving extravagant gifts.

First recorded by the original Catgirl herself, Eartha Kitt, alongside Henri Rene and his orchestra. The song was a hit for Kitt and she said it was one of her favorite songs to record.
